Terror Strikes, How They Welcome it With Open Arms.

Another terror strike in North India. And you see the familiar videos and images and hear the same story that the blasts were well carried out to create maximum chaos. Yes! News Channels praise them. And often they mention that they were reports from intelligence agencies that were indications of possible terror strikes in the now blast torn cities. What was the Government doing with those reports? Why was the state not put on high alert?

The politicians know just this. Condemn the attacks, offer condolences and provide some monetary relief. And then move on to more pressing matters like strengthening the party, attending rallies, waving to crowds and winning elections.

And do you the number of Intelligence Agencies we have?

On a side note, the southern states in general and Tamil Nadu in particular much safer than compared to the Northern states. I haven’t heard any serious blasts in Tamil Nadu after the Coimbatore blasts. No wonder so many northies shifting bases here.

They welcome it? What nonsense. People died. It isn’t funny.

And people from the North are not moving here for safety. That’s just total rubbish.

  2. Arun Says:

By ‘they’, I meant the Government. All their claims that they are fighting terrorism is utter rubbish. What made you think I was being funny?!

And Chennai is the safest city in India at the moment. Look around, you will notice. It’s a good thing, I’m not a MNS volunteer.

@Arun : Ya u r right…… In north and all it become common… At the same time even the politicians are supporting the terrorists a lot to gain advantage from them… Even though am feeling happy because of living in this safer city, am bit disappointed with the things happening in North…

Marc, he is right. News channels and so many politicians seem damn thrilled every time there’s something big. They get to have some reason to splash themselves across TV and stuff. There’s no way he could have been funny saying all that.

The South has been historically safer because we only have to deal with the LTTE. All our land borders are to the North, and all of our disputes are there too.

Those intelligence agencies are pathetic, there’s always some article in the news about some mole flying to America and disappearing or of leaks or something. RAW, Jesus. I’ve heard enough about RAW. Incompetent louts.

  5. Vinod Says:

North people are not coming here for safety. I am sure about that. And when did the News Channels started to praise them??? I didn’t notice that in any news. Don’t add news channels like times now or sahara, star news or some other crap channel. Those channels don’t know what news to telecast. Times now wasted one full day on the Bhajji-Sree issue.

  6. Arun Says:

Vinod, those are the only channels we have on air without STBs. The news channels don’t actually praise them, I was being sarcastic about their news coverage. They even show how they cover Militants - BSF Jawan gunfights by throwing mikes here and there, running for cover, panning the camera at ground level and then picking up the mike to show how dangerously close they are to the crossfire.

George, RAW is like any other government service. Come to the office, loiter, have some hot Vadas and tea, go home. They have moles? Now, that’s really interesting.

  7. George Says:

The news channels don’t praise the terrorists, you nutcase, they’re thrilled with the fact that there’s some news. The glee almost flows out of the television.

  8. George Says:

    That was to Vinod.

  9. Marc Says:

The moles are probably people expecting a Government job so that they can live out the rest of their life without working for money.

  10. Selerines Says:

@Vinod : Partially i will accept your views about news channels… According to me, the news channels are doing these type of things because of the competition in this field… But we should not blame every one.. Some are good…

@Arun : To over come the competition those people are trying out some thing different on the field…..

  11. Arun Says:

They are not competing, they are full of gimmicks like Bollywood masala movie. If they really want to try to be different, they can stop covering news full of hypes and rumours. Move to producing documentaries, studies like BBC.
